"Iggy Pop has sort of become the ultimate punk rock icon. His music is among some of the most influential of all-time. And it was no surprise when Iggy recieved his own 20th Century Masters collection last year.
This collection focuses on Iggy's A&M years, but features 'Sister Midnight' and 'Lust for Life,' which were recorded on different labels. Other than that, this is strictly his A&M years. Read on for the positives and negatives.
Positives
-All of the well known Iggy classics are here. 'Lust for Life,' 'Fire Girl,' 'Tuff Baby,' and 'Sister Midnight' are all here for your listening pleasure.
-This features great 1988 live versions of '1969,' 'Kill City,' and 'I Wanna Be Your Dog.'
-The sound quality is just incredible!
Negatives
-I don't think it would have hurt to have included 'Nightclubbing' since 'Lust for Life' and 'Sister Midnight' are both here.
Overall, this collection is definitely worth the price of admission. If you buy this and 'Lust for Life,' you're definitely getting your hard earned dollar's worth.
