"Everybody wants to be a DJ, everybody wants to be a star. God knows electronic music via the foreign press has elevated the people who play other peoples' records to heroic proportions. Which makes it hard for rising vinyl jocks to crack the scene unless they have something unique to offer...which the duo Idjut Boys certainly do.As-their album title might indicate, they spin a heady brew of disco, funk, and afro-beat, an honest nod to the 70's freshened up with modern DJ tools: cuts, edits, spinbacks, and more. There's plenty of spicy percussion to be had, with Modern Sound Corporation's "Safari" and Sir Eddie's "Que Pasa Cabasa" revealing their strength - taking the heart of discifunk, sans vocals, letting the chunky vibe become the star. What you won't realize, unless you peak at the inner jacket, is the breadth of music covered - 25 years of dance - that the Boys smoothly integrate. While many of the tunes are less than two years old, only serious trainspotters will pick out the 70's and 80's treats; techno artist Aril Brikha blends in as smoothly as Isolee, who's recent smash "Beau Mot Plague" is rendered unrecognizable in the mix. In an era of regurgitated house, where yesterday's hit is sampled into tomorrow's smash, it's refreshing to hear a polished reminder of a classic sound. An invigorating reward for lovers of old-school. Grade: B+"

"this is not something you wanna play too loud and/or for a clubby crowd... this is more for the ride to the club, or while you're geting dressed to go out.... the music is really nice and smooth, and not too common- that's the main thing i liked about this album, not the same tired selection, ya dig!?"
After some searching I found THAT C.D.

"Wow...Was all I could say after first hearing this album. My brother had recorded the C.D. to minidisc for me after he actually met the two idjuts in question, being only thirteen and simple minded about music today,I was overwhelmed by the tecnique of these djs, who would ever think you could mix such completely different genres into one fantastic disc of sound. I'm shocked at this c.d and willbe till theday I die. Soon hopefully I will be able to show my gratitude to the excellent idjut boys and there skills, but until then I'll lay back and listen to there funky beats. With some albums you have to have a particular taste to enojoy it, but with this album there is bound to be one song for everybody, lukily I found that every song was for me."
Great Mix....Afro-funk is right!

"Surprisingly more sophisticated than I first anticipated. Mellow AND danceable. The Afro-percussions keeps the album moving without messing w/ the jazzed funkiness. Do you like Dimitri from Paris'"A Night at the Playboy Mansion"? If so, you'll definitely dig this!"
