"Don't be fooled by the Extra Tracks tag, this is the same as the original vinyl and previous CD versions. 2 tracks were remixed for the 2nd release but they are not included, not to mention unreleased studio tracks On Fire, Show No Mercy, Reckless to mention a few.
Still, this album is a metal classic. Unlike following releases, this is Icon in full Priest/Scorpions/Dokken mode, heavier, crunchier but still melodic. They should have been huge."
Awesome Heavy Metal!

"Icon was one of the greatest metal bands of the 80's & early 90's bar none! I bought this release when it orignally came out. I was so glad when this came available on CD years ago. This has the ultimate chainsaw guitars and smoking melodies! If you want heavy headbanging pump you up and make you wantta move metal this is it. This is without a doubt one of my favorite releases and anyone I have ever played these guys to were always blown away by their talent. Buy this, you will not be disappointed! I seen them twice and they totally rocked! Dan Wexler is an amazing guitar player song writer. Rock N Roll Maniac is one of the best anthem tunes you will ever hear. It's just a shame they never got the respect they deserved and I still can't figure why they never got enough backing because everyone loved them who heard them. I pray they re-unite!"
Should have been the beginning of something BIG

"I don't have to sit here and tell you how good these guys were, just check them out for yourself. This cd picks you up from the onset, rams you into the wall, and never lets up.Anything you get from Icon is straight ahead Rock'n'Roll without compromise.Pick this up,as well as Night of The Crime,Right Between the Eyes, and if you can find and afford it,An Even More Pefect Union.Stay away from Live Bootleg 1984 unless you just want to add it to your collection.Anyone interested in any Icon cd's can drop me a line at scpickett@sbcglobal.net"

"This is a killer debut album from this Arizona metal band. You won't find any bad songs on here.Every song is sure to please. These guys should have gotten more recognition. It's too bad they had to compete with Ratt,Motley Crue,Twisted Sister and others at that time(1984).This album has a heavy Quiet Riot sound to it.This album is virtually perfect.Despite the release of two other albums,Icon would never reach this level again.Sure wish these guys would do a reunion tour. This album reminds me of the good ol' days.In the 80's,we didn't just rock,we rocked HARD.For great rock and roll, there will never be a decade like the 80's!Do yourself a favor and get this album, you won't be disappointed!!"

"This was the best ICON album released. ICON was a little known band that didn't get desearved recognition. It came out at a time when cookie cutter bands like Poison, Cinderella, etc. had the commercial radio stations jamming their music down your throat. They were and are good bands, but corporate radio determind the success of bands along with MTV. ICON has a heavy sound and amazing ballads. This is not a Glam Band, they were the real deal and desearve a listen to. If you want some great Metal from a band that most people have not heard of then this is the album for you. I loved it when it came out and I love it now. As a radio DJ on my own Metal show, I play ICON for my listeners to help educate them more in the best unkown Metal of the 80's."
