Not a bad CD so far. I will never get over his greatest works like America's Most Wanted, but it's nice to see that he's still making music and trying to keep up with the times.

The Best Ice Cube Album Ever!!!!

"It seems like Ice Cube came right back to his roots after he came back from hollywood. I like the social as well as political messages in this album. Ice Cube says he does gangster rap, and he's right, but he also has a message as a black man, as a rap star, as a muslim, and as a hollywood actor. The messages in this album can't be denied. If I had to vouch for the best rap album of the year or just a rap album that has meaning, it would be this one. His best hit on this album has to be Stand Tall. I loved the message in this one! The other song that caught my attention is Cold Places. The messages that Cube gives are phenominal! The rest of the album is full of gems like; Hood Mentality, It Takes A Nation, Tommorrow, Get Money, Spend Money No Money, and Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It. He takes the West Side to a whole new level with Get Used To It. Even with the 1 or 2 songs dedicated to bragging rights (Jack In The Box, Here He Come, Do Your Thang and Got My Locs On), this album made the cut as best rap album of the year. We needed Ice Cube to come back like he did to let us know that west coast rap is here to stay, that rap STILL has a message and that he is definately the king! I just caught the video for Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It on YouTube! This song went from a banger to a blitz! Ice cube tells many stories in this saga! Check it out if you dare! It makes this album stupendous! It's a damn shame the public can't pick rap album of the year!!!"

"This album took me for a suprise. I admit that I overlooked the album several times before because I was judging from the cover. I mean..look at the album cover art.. it really seemed like the content would be something more like trying to bring back west coast gangsta rap, but in actuality it was completely the opposite. Forget the hypocrisy of his earlier albums from back in the day, nowadays it seems like he's on a different path-and a whole new level. The beats are nice but it's the content of his lyrics-you really gotta take the time to listen to whats he's saying, it might suprise you. Ice Cube definitely shows why he's one of the original best!"
