A good flavor ice cream

"While it's not terribly 'Marillion-y', "Ice Cream Genius" is a pretty good album. Steve does the atmospheric thing wonderfully in "The Evening Shadows", "Better Dreams" and has an ambient techno moment in "The Deep Water". There are several catchy rockers, a pop song or two, and a couple of offbeat, more experimental tunes. "Nothing to Declare" is simply stunning, a yearning showcase of Steve's talents. For those wishing to get a glimpse of what Mr. Hogarth brings to Marillion, and for those who just want more of his beautiful voice, "Ice Cream Genius" is a worthwhile purchase."
TOTALLY UNIQUE SOUND.

"THIS ALBUM HAS A UNIQUE SOUND ALL ITS OWN. DON'T BUY IT THINKING IT WILL BE ALOT LIKE MARILLION....NOT SO...THE SONGS ARE WELL WRITTEN AND THE OVERALL SOUND IS QUITE SOFT & RELAXING....ALOT OF THE LYRICS HIT REALLY CLOSE TO HOME SO IT IS MOST DEFINITLY WORTH LISTENING CLOSELY TO. LISTEN TO IT AT LEAST TWICE BEFORE YOU FORM ANY OPINION....MY FAVORITE TRACK IS "CAGE"."
