Synopsis

Album Description
Ian Charles-"...To Those Who Wait" Until now, Long out of print. A Collection of Early songs Cut live in the studio and recorded between 1990-1993. Several songs feature all instruments by Ian Charles and ohters are performed by Ian Charles backed by Last Cafe. Songs like "Wild Oats" or "John James" are timeless. This is Ian Charles at an incredibly creative, and developmental period. But the simplicity and rawness of many of the songs make this a very enjoyable cd.

CD Reviews

A Full Plate...A really good debut CD for Ian
Ian C. Cunningham | OZ, United States | 07/31/2001
(4 out of 5 stars)

"The developmental side of songwriting is not really allowed in today's polluted mass media arena. That "fact" is a shame and a sham. These are songs that grow and develop with the songwriter, and the listener. The songs are a strong combination of Folk storytelling, Rock-n-Roll, and Alt-Country ( Via Dylan or Mellencamp influence) I first heard this Cd and I thought it was so different from his other two releases that I already had come to own. But, over time this has become a true constant in my CD player. The diversity of style and the powerful performances both in the acoustic and electric songs like the riveting,"John James" or the Epic rocker, "It's Tough to Balance.." The now classic Ian Charles composition almost completely performed by Ian is "Come home on the Wind" is absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend you give this one a spin for your money."
