Timeless lyrics - beautiful harmonies

"Although the album was released in 1966, the melodies and lyrics are timeless. From the perfect "These Friends of Mine" to the raucous "Molly & Tenbrooks", every song is worth listening to over and over again. "Short Grass", "Lonely Girls", "Play One More" and the haunting "Changes" make the miles speed by as I travel the Interstates singing along and feeling 30 years younger. Fortunately, no one is there to hear me intrude on the compatible harmonies of Ian & Sylvia. I only wish "Four Strongs Winds" could somehow have been included on a re-release - but you can't have everything."
The Best of Ian & Sylvia

"There's another album with that title, but this one is the real thing. Timeless, incredibly smooth and beautiful music that soothes the soul. Buy it."
One Of Their Best !

"When I was in college in my dorm room I had a young lady visiter who I had invited, "You wanna come up to my room and hear some of my opera recordings.", I said. And, I was sincere---mostly, anyway! I put one of my recordings of an opera aria on the phonograph. When the tenor hit a high C I said arrogantly, "See, your folk singers can't do THAT!" The young lady retorted: "Well, maybe not, but I like my recordings of Ian and Sylvia just as much or even more than you like your arias!" So we put this CD (record) and the other one almost as good, "So Much for Dreaming" on the phonograph. I listened and I became "a fan" of Ian and Sylvia on the spot! And I've been a fan ever since! You will become a fan also when you hear the "world class" musicianship and beauty of voice of these two artists. Don't pass this one up; buy it and I know you'll become a fan too!
