"About 3 years ago I won a copy of the "John and Mary" CD during a call-in radio contest while driving down the road. I had never heard of IIIrd Tyme Out and never particularly liked or listened to Bluegrass music, and only knew country music as I'm a country musician (bass guitar/acoustic guitar player/vocalist) and have had minimal exposure to playing or listening to Bluegrass. After picking up my copy of "John and Mary" from the radio station, and sceptically giving it a listen, I was reeled in by IIIrd Tyme Out. For the first time in my life I purchased every available recording a band had to offer and have listened to them time and time again over the past couple of years, as well as seeing IIIrd Tyme Out perform live 3 times so far. In my opinion, there is no Bluegrass group like them and although I still wouldn't classify myself as an overall "Bluegrass" lover, I am most definitely a IIIrd Tyme Out fan. "THE BEST DURN RIDE" is another fantastic representation of what these guys are capable of. Russell Moore's fantastic voice and the tight harmony by the guys is what really drives this group to perfection, and accompanied by everyone's excellent musicianship, this CD is simply superb. I recommend this CD to everyone, even if you're not particularly a Bluegrass lover. "THE BEST DURN RIDE" may well give you a musical listening experience unlike you've ever had."
