CD Reviews
A work of art.

"On This Cold Floor goes beyond just being a fantastic record. It can easily be called a brilliant work of art. Many artist attempt in their career to put together a concept album that works, but often fall just short. With OTCF, Christopher Jon creates a story that in turn can almost become a mirror for ones own feelings. Meaningful lyrics and great use of electronics and guitars create a moody rollercoaster. This album is a must own. Easily this album has become my pick for #1 album of the year."

"This CD is amazing! I picked it up last month and haven't stopped listening to it. I cannot tell you how refreshing it's been to actually pick up a CD and be surprised by its instrumentation and musical direction.
I, Parasite has really come into its own. A great progression from the band's previous industrial releases. Fans of Tool, NIN, Neurosis, Pink Floyd - you NEED to check out this CD. I, Parasite is paving new grounds!"

"In the Turgid Swell of the new Mellenium Spawned from the UnderGround in America Hails a new hope in Real Music By The Name of I-parasite , What better soundtrack to listen & absorb in the Chaos after september 11th. The Talents and Artistic Formula from Christophers music is refreshing in an industry most into looks and sales of cloned and copy cat genres, On This Cold Floor is a mile stone in not just I-Parasite history but in the Dark wave/Ambient Industrial genre. If you are looking for the most Raw and Honest i Suggest you buy I-Parasites On This Cold Floor and invest in the other albums I-Parasite have to offer the others being Turin & Horseslayer."

"i cannot stress enough how much this CD rocks. when i bought OTCF i knew it would be good, i just didnt know HOW good. i have listened to this album 8 times now, and i feel like i have only just begun to scratch the surface.
this is a phenominal release. from the beautifully done packaging to the pure audial bliss. this is a gigantic leap into musical maturity for i parasite, as he sheds off the stale EBM/dark electro label for something completely fresh and new.
the album starts off with the surprising 'cold floor' and continues unrelentlessly till the very last second of 'purge this facade.'
one of the things that really catches me about this album is that there are NO BAD SONGS. the entire album is flawlessly layed out, as each song appropriately fades into the next. there is not one skippable song on this disk, i was thinking about naming favourites, but the more i hear the album, the more i love every song.
i have not seen any other reviews for this album, but i would be horribly surprised to see anyone negatively rate this. this album is good enough to give mainstream a run for its money, and i sincerely hope it does."

"WOW...Hard to put a review like this into words. Christopher Jon is the poet and brain child of I, Parasite and Darkvision Media respectivly. "On this Cold Floor" is a maticulously plannned out, wrote and put together collection of industrial agnst and power, with a good dash of almost techno and hard rock. Whatever it is, the cold noise created on computers and keyboards works itself out as it's own entity accompaning Christoper Jon's pleading, haunting and deep-felt vocals. Dare I say this work of art is the work of someone well on his way of becomming the next Trent Reznor. However dark his vision is,(no pun intended, HA) I, Parasite tears a deep hole in whatever genre you might try to squeeze them, kicking and screaming, into. Songs like "Thirst" and "Something Terrible" hurl you into an emotional addiction of sorts. Adding to the mystery and mayhem, is Shikee of Android Lust with backing vocals on "Spoke". The lyrics not meant for all to understand, however, you do get a glimpse of what is beheld in the mind of such a brooding artistic talent. Can't wait to see what the future holds for I, Parasite."
