"Hypnotic Clambake's Square Dance Messiah is a masterful Blend of folk, rock, regae, jazz, and a dash of comedy. This band from Boston might seem strange, but they play each instrument like world-class musicians. With the barber-shop Quartet in Chef Mobie's Gumbo Gator, the regae beat Rasta Cyborg, and the folk of Old Dan Tucker, Hypnotic Clambake is going to please everyone. Take a listen, You'll like what you hear!"

"I saw Hypnotic Clambake perform 10 years ago and have been fans every since. The music is fun, good, and happy...but not too happy as to be annoying. I read somewhere it was like a bar mitzvah on acid. I sort of agree. The lyrics entertain, the rhythms make you move, and the musical configuration makes you like it. This is their first commercial cd but I also think it has the most good songs on it. This is also a must for klezmer fans. It's a more modern take on an old style, but has the undertone of the tradition. Highly recommended."
