"This CD is essential if you like the early hard-ambient-noise-industrial works such as those by SPK (Information Overload Unit, Leichenschei), Einsturzende Neubauten, Esplendor Geometrico, or Japanese noise ala Merzbow with the bass cranked. As an afficionado of the genre, I consider most of those classics, but if I had to pick just one to have on a desert island, it would be Will by Hunting Lodge. Amp the 1950s Forbidden Planet soundtrack way past overdrive into an array of subwoofers, or record an execution on the electric chair and play it back at 1/10th the speed, and you have a coarse approximation. Cataclysmic.
