When I asked a respected Puerto Rican producer to bring back a Latin Jazz album (of his choosing) from his next trip to San Juan, his first choice was "Aspects". I was overwhelmed by the richness of the sound--nothing grating or irritating, just smooth and spicy, and I have not grown weary of listening to it. The list of accomplished musicians on this one reads like a who's who of Latin American instrumentalists (Alex Acuña, José Luis Encarnación, Tito Puente, etc...) If you only buy one Jazz album all year-GET THIS ONE! You will certainly not regret it."
