CD ReviewsGood addition to your tropical music collection M. McQueen | Kentucky | 10/24/2007 (4 out of 5 stars) "I purchased this cd (and "Blame it on the Margaritas") about six months ago after I had purchased (and fell in love with) "Meet Me in the Keys".
This album has a slower pace to it than the band's two most recent releases, but it is still a good addition to your musical collection just the same. In addition to the tropical sounds, this album has a bit more of a country influence than the two most recent albums. "Livin on Key West Time" is definitely a notable track for this album--it's a laid back song about living on island time. "Mangrove Mama's" is another good one on this album--Howard definitely makes you feel like you know the place as well as he does! "Red 69 Oldsmobile" is a rockin song with a catchy tune and a fast beat. "Little Bit of Love" is another catchy song with a quick beat to it that makes you want to get up and dance and belt out the lyrics. "Una Mas Cerveza" is a nice song about having another beer in the laid back island atmosphere. Last but not last, "Mile Marker 24" is a nice song about going home to the islands. All in all, although this album is slower-paced than the two most recent releases, I would still recommend it for your island music collection." |
