"in 1995, at the ripe age of 86, howard armstrong recorded his first, and only full length solo studio album. even though the soundtrack to the film "louie bluie" provides the listener with a potpourri of music(older/1930's, newer/1980's studio recordings, and live takes/1980,s), the blue suit recordings serve as the only comprehensive effort as a long player.
the music and stories that provide intros to many of the songs give testament to the agelessness of howard. story teller, historian, artist, and musician..it is all here waiting for any listener who wants to hear, truely, the "last of the old time, blues tradition". howard provides the front cover, self portrait. put into your disc player and let the music do the rest."
