"well, i'm an iowan now living in vegas. i've seen hols live too many times to count. as an alum of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls (the band's hometown) my favorite nite out was when hols played at the local club, steb's. yes i was up front, yes it was loud and yes they truly rocked and never disappointed. this cd is incredible--hols don't concern themselves with being alternative or anything like that. the music is original and did i mention that it rocks. t-time in memphis i dig a lot and eisenhower was a big crowd pleaser"

"I have been going to see House shows before I was really old enough to get in(I'm 29 now). This is one of their best albums and one of the earliest. With songs like "Eisonhower" and "40 Orange Cookies" you find it hard to lable their music. It rocks, but they are not a metal band. When you see them live you might have 20 people moshing, while others bounce up and down, about the only thing you can say for sure is that when hearing House you find it hard to stand still. I am finding it hard to discribe their music, I guess you just have to buy the cd, listen, and enjoy! oh, by the way, when One Big Cake and Heat Miser where first released on cd they where put on one album, you can't buy them this way any more. Like what they have offered here at Amazon, the album is split into two separate albums. To really enjoy them get both albums and play Heat Miser first then One Big Cake back to back.
