I gave it ten stars, gosh dernit, because this album is awesome from start to finish. Not a weak song in the bunch. One of the first "indie" albums that I really loved. It was freshman years of college (of course) when I first heard it, so it came during a pretty formative stage. I saw them live that year and it was great, they had a guitarist named Dante who was drinking whiskey like crazy and was almost too drunk to play the encore. He gave everyone the finger and then still played the encore and he killed it. Not a huge surprise that their stuff after this is not nearly as good, because he left the band. Sad. Anyways, this album: so good. High energy, awesome and unique sound, mostly due to the synthy-ness going on. Requisite slower last song that is also really good too. Highly recommended.

Well since this is a gift I can't really rate it. Sad that I must give it a star even though I haven't heard it.
