Hope For Agoldensummer is a family band from Athens & Atlanta, GA led by the Campbell sisters. Hope has been together for over 5 years writing and touring the USA. ARIADNE THREAD is their sophomore release. It was recorded in several studios with engineers including: David Barbe, Andy Baker & Chris Waldorf. There are 17 songs, plus field recordings by band member, Claire Campbell. The packaging features original sketches and paintings by band members, Deb Davis & Page Campbell. In addition, the package is hand-bound with a small book containing the story of Ariadne, written by Wallace Mudd, a cousin of the Campbell sisters. The packaging is made of recycled paper by a worker owned press in Oregon, USA. Claire Campbell, Page Campbell and Deb Davis wrote and performed all 17 songs with plenty of instrumental help from: Heather McIntosh on cello (The Instruments, Circulatory System, etc); Rene on harp (Envie); Chris Waldorf on kit (Pyramid, Sea of Cortez); Matt Stoesel on pedal steel (Ginger Envelope); John Fernandez on clarinet (Circulatory Sys, Elf Power, etc); Robby Handley on upright bass (Bird & Wire); drum & horn sections from Dark Meat/Vomit Lasers Family Band; anarchist soul choir made up of Madeline Adams, Amanda Kapasouz (Tin Cup Prophette), Liz Durrett, Count Kellam, Leslie Helpert, Sara J Ursrey (The Ones), Daniel Clay, Anna Kramer and Pete DeLorenzo (Gringo Star).
