"Don't get much better than this, folks.I was so fortunate to chance upon this masterpiece. Visited an old buddy about a decade ago and he (by luck) was the opening act before the blitzkrieg.Score this disc and you will instantly gauge the bar-room appeal of "Walk Real Slow" & "The First Man"...but there ain't a loser on this offering and the superb majesty is summarized in "Still Rainin'"...there aren't many songs out there to rival the depth here (I think Johnny Lang covered this one, but frankly it pales before the original). Buy this yesterday!"

"Never saw these guys and I am utterly dismayed they never gained a serious spotlight...a buddy of mine from Minnesota had warmed up for this stellar group and bestowed this CD to me mebbe 8 years ago. I have yet to grow weary of it ---> solid musicianship, but the real jewel is the pure originality of the songs. Bruce McCabe impresses me to death with his ability to craft catchy blues numbers with expressive lyrics...that span a broad range. I can visualize the gang whipping up a barroom crowd with "The First Man (Who Ever had the Blues)" and "Wound Up", but still touching souls with the ultimately compelling "Still Raining'" ---> this one is fantastic (and I think Johnny Lange covered it).If anyone knows what became of this troop I would certainly appreciate an update!"
