"Hometown News just came to Diego Garcia, a small little coral atoll in the Indian Ocean, on a American Forces Entertainment tour of overseas military bases.I caught them at an outdoor show a few days ago and I was extremely impressed. On an invitation by the Chief Petty Officers on the island, they came to our barracks and played for close to eight hours, until the wee hours of the morning. The 30 or so Navy men and women in the audience had the time of their lives, and it is all thanks to Ron, Scott and the great guys in the band.The music is incredible, fun to sing along with, and specifically with "Wheels", it often brought lumps into the throats of all of us. "Minivan" had us rolling, since at least half of us have sold a cherry vehicle and bought a minivan as a replacement.I can't recommend their music enough. It's rare today when you find a great band, with the personality to go with it. To take time out of their schedule and just jam with us was an amazing experience, and I bet most bands wouldn't have been interested.

Their visit to Diego Garcia, and performance for us last night, will be one of the great highlights of my Navy career. Thanks for a great time guys!"
