The Paladins consisted of singer/guitarist Dave Gonzales, high school pal bassist Thomas Yearsley and drummer Brian Fahey. CD ReviewsThere's much better Fats out there! Standard Poodle | 07/24/2008 (2 out of 5 stars) "I love Fats - so this was a huge let down. This is sub-bootleg quality at full price. Yes the performances are good, but there are REAL sound problems. Fats' guitar often is warbled as if in a non-musical tremelo sort of way. Sadly, the songs are sped up: Sidetracked in Ab; Hideaway in F. An instrumental that sounds like Okie Dokie Stomp comes off cartoonish due to the sped up tape. This could EASILY have been fixed. Hey, I enjoy bootleg quality as I look for the performances, but at full price this is just not worth it. Hopefully some folks with better quality tapes of Fats/Paladins shows will do it right."
