"This is the saying on a tee shirt someone recently wore to a Holly Near concert. I kept thinking of that as I listened to this album. Her voice and her songs are inspiring and uplifting, as always. This is a great album for the new initiates to Holly Near or for her long time fans."

"A friend gave me Holly Near's Edge, and after listening and loving it, I wanted more. This is another great album, with super songs. I love the beat of Hattie and Mattie, and Family Band, as an example. I have wondered for years where all the good protest songs and singers had gone, having been born in the 50's and growing up in the 60's. Well, here is a good one, with songs relating to present day problems and concerns. And if you like this one, definitely get "Edge" too."
