"The two words that first come to mind when I think of this EP are "fresh" and "original". In an industry that has stagnated from its own assembly line, overly consumer and radio friendly sounds, His Mighty Robot is a welcome step in the right direction. Unconcerned with image or what is commercial this trio has brought forth a unique and bold sound. With an interesting mix of just two acoustic guitars backed only by electronic drums, HMR has created their own little niche. Soda, lead vocals and guitar, provides an engaging face for this band and is perfectly complemented by Heather with her enchanting melodies and haunting vocals. Throw in Barrett's visceral sounding percussion and you have a powerful combo. Check these kids out and you will not be disappointed. And be sure to check their website as well: www.hismightyrobot.com"
Rebirth of Alternative

"In the early to mid nineties, before rap-metal conquered radio and tv, musicians seemed to make their music for something more than the Nookie. It was a magical time in music history, when bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails and many other paved the way for something different. Since then, music seems to have been rather stale. At least until the past few years. Music seems to be coming back around and bands like Muse, the Dresden Dolls, Interpol and many other are making music interesting again. I recently picked up His Mighty Robot's debut EP and was very suprised to hear and feel the same feelings I had during those times. Even though it is only a 4 song EP, I felt like I was taken on a long journey. I cannot wait to see what this trio has in store for their full-length. It is a breath of fresh air and you can definitly feel their influences coming through. The Smashing Pumpkins and the Cure especially. So if you are looking for something new and exciting, check this band out."
