Mighty To Save...very different album

"Mighty To Save is a very different album from last year's, I personally like God He Reigns more but it' because of the content. But MTS is a good album also, it's more intimate and relaxed, plus it was recorded on a prayer night so it makes it more good.



1. Take It All - led by Marty Sampson; more of the same of the United We Stand version, it has a longer intro and it's a little more upbeat, good song to start with.



2. The Freedom We Know - at first I didn't like this song cuz i didn't understand anything, but then I really paid attention to it and it's my favorite upbeat song from this album, it's very cool all singing out loud "..because the freedom we know it's gonna last forever", it was written and lead by Joel Houston.



3. For Who You Are - now this song is very awesome, Jad Gillies sings it and it's like one of the best tracks, very simple lyrics but yet awesome, especially the chorus, it only says "I will worship you for who you are" and it penetrates you those words; written by Marty Sampson.



4. You Alone Are God - led by Reuben Morgan; at first I didnt like this song much either cuz I never listened to what it said but after reading the lyrics, it's one of the best songs of Reuben in my opinion. It's the first slow song of the album, it starts very good.



5. At The Cross - led and written by Darlene Zschech, Darlene finally leads a song here, it's cool that different people leads the songs, makes it more fun. This song is very deep and meaningful, the best way to hear it is like when you had a bad day, that song's really good.



6. From The Inside Out - led my Marty Samspson, I like this version more than the UWS version, it's very cool, the electric guitar effect is more simple this time.



7. Found - now this song it's like the "weakest" of the album. It's not bad but it could had been done a lot better, I've heard it before with more instruments and more voices added and it sounded very good. This time it's only a guy's voice and a keyboard in the backround, this song is like the "All For Love" of God he Reigns, but this one's better, it's a good song, just not awesome.



8. More To See - this song was written by Darlene Zschech and only sung by women, it's very gospel-ish and "american", it's a cool song but doesn't fit much with the album.



9. Adonai - this song is led by Paul Andrew, he's the guy that sung the bridge part on His Love from the GHR album. A very cool Hillsong-ish song.



10. I Believe - led by Jonathon Douglass, rockish but short song, but it's very good, one of the best upbeat ones of the album.



11. Oceans Will Part - the 2nd part of slow songs begin, it's cool song, not one of my favorites but some people love it.



12. None But Jesus - this time the song's lead by Darlene Zchech and the guitar played by Reuben Morgan, nothing more. The song's a little slower since it's only with a guitar but it's a good song considering the environment of the album.



13. Higher / I Believe In You - this is one of the best songs of the album, Higher written by Mia Fieldes (she's written Always from More Than Life, and All For Love from Look To You), she writes like the best songs of the albums. The best part was the chorus, you have to listen to this song. 5/5



14. Mighty To Save - best way to close the album, led by Reuben Morgan, i can't even explain it, you have to listen to it.



Overall, it's an awesome album, I recommend it. If you get the dvd, it has more tracks since they recorded more, the tracks included on the dvd are : Open My Eyes, The Deep Of Your Grace, Follow The Son and How Great Is Our God, so you gotta buy the dvd also to enjoy these other songs."

I am nearly in tears as I type this. This Album is anointed beyond words. When you order this album, your life will be blessed, your spirit encouraged, and your heart lifted! Pre-order/Order TODAY! There are so many amazing tracks on here. Here is a brief overview of the tracks:



1. Take It All - from the United We Stand Album and just as fun here. Upbeat!



2. The Freedom We Know - A fun one. Dancing in the freedom we know! Upbeat



3. For Who You Are - This is such a great fun song and a really important declaration to make - I will worship You for who You are!!! I have already listened to this a couple of times



4. You ALone Are God - THis is a really beautiful one led by Darlene and Reuben.



5. AT THE CROSS - This song is my favourite. I started the review with snippets of it. What is so powerful, other than the fact that it is about the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, WOW, is that it was written by Darlene and Reuben in loving memory of a member of their church who is with the Lord.



6. From the Inside Out - from United We Stand. Just as powerful here as then. "Everlasting, Your Light will shine when all else fails. Neverending, Your Glory goes beyond all fame, and the cry of my heart is to bring You praise from the inside out..."



7. FOund - Unplugged. one vocalist. very powerful lyrics.



8. More to See - Upbeat again. Starts with the women. Feels gospelly. Cool! Gorgeous Harmonies. Starts to fill back in the sound from "Found". "His mercies are new every morning - Beautifully new every morning...Lift up your eyes and see."



9.Adonai - an upbeat song called Adonai! very cool. I love it. "Oh I love You more than I can say...Oh I love you always."



10. I Believe - upbeat. Great Declaration song! "I believe in the Son of God and I'm alive in You Jesus. No one could ever save my soul but You!"



11. Oceans Will Part - another worshipful ballad. They lyrics are amazing. Reuben Morgan song led by Darlene. Builds beautifully to a majestic end! "...As you open my eyes to the works of Your hands...oceans will part, nations come at the whisper of your call. Hope will rise! Glory shines! In my life, Your will be done!"



12. None But Jesus - written by Brooke Fraiser and also done on United We Stand. Darlene sing it here! The Lyrics continue to move me. Again, a very unplugged sound. I think they are doing that on purpose for the song to be stripped down and just focus on Jesus. "All my delight is in You Lord, all of my hope and all of my strength forevermore!"



13. Higher w/I Believe in You - Mia Fieldes strikes again! What a powerful anointing is on this young songwritter! "So Great and Greatly to be praised! I owe You my life and I will worship You forever!" You will feel your spirit lifting! There is a very powerful time when people begin to cry out to God here.



14. Mighty to Save - mid tempo into upbeat. nice groove here. I love the lyrics too!"

"Simply Fantastic. This album refreshed me so much. Actually I saw Hillsongs last night in Nashville before I even heard the album, and the song "Mighty To Save" blew me away. The only thing I missed was their awesome choir....As a musician and a member of a worship team I was hoping to get refreshed and get ideas for new songs to do at our church. Well "Mighty to save" and "At the cross" are first on my list. Many other good songs are on this album but those two are my favorite. Great energy. For a few years it "almost" seemed like Hillsongs kind of lost their luster(just my opinion), Then they come up with "For all You've done" and "Mighty to save"....they are BACK!!!!!

Nothing Is better than hearing real worshipers worship, and hillsongs is full of true worshipers.



God Bless Hillsongs for bringing about the worship revoloution."
