"This is one of the nice surprises of this year, although the album was released in the U.K. eight-nine months ago. The tracks that are most played are "For your love" (which reminds of those funky songs of the seventies, halfway between Chic and Evelyn King), "Props" (a track that would not be a surprise on an Erykah Badu album), and the cover version of "Until you come back to me", originally from Stevie Wonder. I would also include "Nostalgia" (very chic-esque), and "Just a matter of time" (is Patrice Rushen one of her idols ?).The album is well balanced, sounds great, and we will wait for a confirmation with a second album of this young lady who seems to have a lot of personnality and ideas (she wrote or co-wrote most of the tracks on the cd), AND she wrote one of the songs -"compliments"- on MAYSA LEAK's Most recent album. That is a strong reference, isn't it ?If you are looking for quality in this genre of music, get this one as a matter of priority !"
