Synopsis
Album Description Playful, melodic, and crunchy guitar driven alt-rock from Minneapolis. Band Hi-test, delusional to the point of delirium. Hi-test is a sadly mistaken bunch of friends that think they can help change Minneapolis forever. They live in a fantasy world where it's always sunny and 80 degrees. Where they party like its 1999 and hang with "the Dude" at Paisley Park... Where "Minnesota nice" means people are nice to your face and behind your back... Hi-test seems to draw power from this delusional world. They are grounded by the thought that MOST people who listen to the music will fall openly in love with the songs and tell their friends. Hi-test was born out of the need for release and self-examination. The vision is simple... create music that they enjoy. Personally, I'm not buying any of it... except perhaps their new CD! CD ReviewsHi-Test Brings Hi-Energy Rock 12/17/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "World Class Loser is the latest unknown gem that America needs to discover. An alternative rock/pop band from Minneapolis, Hi-Test brings catchy riffs, clever lyrics, and incredible harmonies to the listener. Songs "Crash" and "Are You Alone" are fun hits that would instantly hit it big on the radio and MTV if this band was not sadly unknown. The biggest success of this album, however, is the title track. World Class Loser delivers an even-keeled blitz of emotion before evolving into a frenzied outcry that is overwhelming and powerful to the end. Pick up Hi-Test's "World Class Loser" today, so you can say you knew them before they were big."
