CD ReviewsI've never met Henry Gross, but... Steve | NYC | 10/26/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "A friend of mine in the music business turned me on to Henry Gross a couple of years ago. My friend said Henry's real name should be "Mister Pop," and if you check out Gross's impeccable control of pop-music craft and general song-writing skills, it's a no-brainer that my buddy was right.
FOREVERLAND is just Gross's latest offering, a collection of terrific pop tunes that sits nicely upon his stack of rocking records that date all the way back to Woodstock and ShaNaNa. If anything, he's only gotten better over the years. He still rocks as hard as ever, and his ballads are practically perfect. If you're breathing and happy to be alive, you'll almost certainly enjoy this collection of "should-be" hits." |
