"On Top" by Headhunters

"About 63 minutes good solid Headhunters style jazz-funk,however
the only original group members are those covering the percussive
aspects(Mike Clark-drums,Bill Summers-perc.)but I assure you the
personnel changes have not subtracted 1 iota from that sound you
expect when you hear "Headhunters." This album cranks and you
won't be unaffected by it! TM Stevens replaces Paul Jackson on bass,
Bennie Maupin gets replaced with Mark Shim and on "Butterfly" by
Donald Harrison, and last but definitely not least keyboards are more
than adequately covered by Jerry Z includes some good soloing-
check out latter part of "Sly" (no idea if any relation to Rachel).
My favorite is "Loft Funk"(check out the bass)but even "Watermelon
Man" receives a great upgrade of funktification.
