These are not Santa's cute little elves--think "elves" in terms of Eoin Colfer's ARTEMIS FOWL series. You don't want to mess with these dudes because they'll deafen you with solid walls of sound.The title belies this work of metal/grunge/indie sturm und drang. This hayride isn't a carefree October outing on the back of a cart pulled by faithful farm horses--it's more of a Wagner-on-acid meets AC/DC, Led Zepplin and Rush while channeling Kurt Cobain. With strong roots in stale musical metaphor, this groups stands on the shoulders of giants without sounding derivative. Just when you think you've got their sound figured out, it changes...."
