"I've been into Haste the Day since Burning Bridges and I know that their first singer Jimmy Ryan was sick on screaming vocals.. you can't deny any of his talent on songs like Substance or American Love but with his departure they had to find someone and I couldn't be happier with their pick. Haste the Day still have all the great vocal parts and they still have the sick breakdowns thrown in for fun. The production is fabulous on this record so I'll point that out as well. There are very few CDs where the last track keeps you wanting to let the CD repeat itself but Chorus of Angels is that song and it provides the perfet ending. I really have to hand it to HTD, it takes a lot to come back from a singer leaving but they should really proud of the effort and it's a really enjoyable CD from beginning to end. The DVD is really good too! It's got a lot of footage and Jimmy's last show with them.. well worth it to seem the play Blue 42! I won't spoil it. Keep going HTD!"

"Changing or losing vocalists in bands is always a tough and risky situation. Haste The Day have tried to not let the loss of former screamer Jimmy Ryan stop them in making a great new record. I gave this record 5 stars not because it is perfect, but because HTD have remained to be the same band they always were. They do have a lot more melody and singing on this cd, but it seemed to be a natural progression from their last cd, When Everything Falls. The new vocalist replaces Jimmy fairly well though Jimmy definitely did have a much more identifiable scream. The new screams are much more generic and remind me of The Caitiff Choir by It Dies Today. This cd has many catchy and good tracks though. My favorites are "Pressure The Hinges", "In Memory" and "Chorus Of Angels". Some other notable tracks are "Stitches", "Servant Ties", "Vertigo" and "White Collar". Overall this is a good cd though it may get repetitive its still enjoyable."

"its sad jimmy's gone his scream was lighter Steve's scream is lower. the higher scream is more rear(especially with Christian music). So Steve's scream sounds like Demon hunter and most scream bands out there."
