Album DescriptionWhen Harvey Andrews packed up schoolteaching in 1966 in order to become a full-time Singer/Songwriter, it?s a fair bet his family were more than mildly concerned. But 40- odd years on he?s still at it, having carved out a reputation as a genuinely gifted songsmith, with 15 albums and a raft of appearances at venues as disparate as the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Cambridge Folk Festival, and TV appearances as diverse as The Old Grey Whistle Test and Rhythm On Two, under his belt. The Birmingham-born bard first showed up on the UK Folk scene in 1964, where he immediately established a formidable presence with his bittersweet love songs, humorous ditties/burlesques and hard-hitting sociopolitical commentary.
