Synopsis

Product Description
Hart Ramsey is a sought after producer, keyboard player, engineer & songwriter who has paid his dues in the studio in support of many artists. Now Hart takes his turn at center stage with a contemporary jazz offering that is sure to turn heads. His first solo project, Charge It to My Heart, is a blend of unconventional harmonies and beautiful melodies, which make for a memorable musical journey. The lead single 'What About Love' flows like a river with saxophone melodies, heavenly chords, eloquent bass rifts, modern drums, and a memorizing flute melody. 'What About Love' has attained unconventional success reaching number twenty seven on the Smooth Jazz Indie Radio Chart.

Charge It to My Heart, is co-produced by bassist Sean Michael Ray who has toured extensively with soul extraordinaire Maxwell, John Waite, Alex Bugnon, Dionne Farris, and a host of notable artists in both the R&B and Jazz Arenas. Joining Hart in the spotlight on this thirteen track "must have" album are music greats Eric Essix, Phil Davis, Kelley O'Neal, and Rick Watford. Hart Ramsey's phenomenal composition has opened a new channel of contemporary jazz along with Kirk Whalum and Jonathan Butler. Charge It To My Heart is a definite hit.

Excellent Addition to your Smooth Grooves Section
Willie J. Perdue | Montgomery, AL United States | 08/03/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This CD offers a slight twist to the smooth groove jazz section. Although its smooth its also has the beats to make your head bounce. The bass lines are nasty and the keys are lightly sprinkled on the top. Not too thick or to sparce in the music. It covers all the essential things I like in a jazz cd. Soft enough to relax to yet engaging enough to ride to or enjoy a nice evening dance with my wife. I deem this a must have to your collection."
