"If you love the hot and sweet sounds of popular 20's jazz, you will find this CD an audio feast! The selection of songs covers the bases from this era, the playing style is authentic, and the muted brass solos superb. Carla Normand lends her strong voice as an added bonus. The long arrangement (almost 5 and a half minutes) of "Was That the Human Thing to Do?" never gets dry, the arrangement of Clementine is not the typical Bix version (but great anyhow), and 'Leven Thirty Saturday Night is as perky and fun as could be. The classier, "Let's Face the Music and Dance" is sung well by Normand. This is feel good music, true the the 20's genre. One of the best--go for it."
