"I consider myself a seasoned listener to "Messiah". I have heard it live in San Francisco, Honolulu, Chicago, and Orlando. But I have never heard a better version than this one. The soloists are true to the music, without adding the embellishments that are popular currently but detract from the real majesty of the work. Messiah is a work of worship to God. This recording allows you to join Mr. Handel in his praise of God and the gift of His Son. It brings me to tears each time I listen to it. The only thing lacking in the liner is the text, so less experienced listeners could understand ALL the words. But the words are downloadable. If you are new to this wonderful work of praise, GET THE WORDS. You will never love God more than when you experience the life of Christ through Mr. Handel's music."
