Overlooked greatness

"Not long ago, I saw Mr. Hammel perform for five bucks in a little coffee shop in the suburbs of Philly. It was amazing but I thought to myself "what the hell?" This guy's music is tough to categorize, so he has been ghettoized and overlooked. But don't think that just because this album hasn't yet craced the top 10,000 that it is not a sublime piece of work. Mixing spoken word masterpieces with heart and mind rending songs, Hammel has created a masterpiece. Hammel plays his acoustic like a Mack truck and sings with power. Listen."

"Ed tells it like it is in "The Vines" and captures the homesickness of touring in "No Delays." Another outstanding cd, which his now former record label never fully promoted. If Jesse Ventura hears this cd, he'll nominate Ed for Prez in 2000."
