Probably the best Hall & Oates collection so far. 25 years

"Daryl Hall and John Oates have been amazingly consistent as creative musicians and songwriters throughout their career. If you need proof, here it is.
A 1997 BMG International import all nice and cleaned up sonically. The full range of big hits are here. Thirty six of them in fact. From the 1973 album "Abandoned Luncheonette" thru to 1990s "Change Of Season", the bulk of the studio albums are very well represented.
There are a lot of Hall & Oates collection CDs to choose from, but what gives this collection a boost is the inclusion of a few of Daryl Hall's solo hits. In particular "Dreamtime" and "Someone Like You" from his 1986 release "3 Hearts In The Happy Ending Machine".
Other surprises included are the original un-edited version of "She's Gone".
The tracks on this 2 CD collection are not set in chronology of release but rather provide a nice mix of older material interspersed with the newer tunes.
From seasoned fans of Hall & Oates to beginners I believe THIS is the collection to have...at least until the "Re-mastered 24bit Deluxe Box Set" comes along.
The year 2007 will mark Hall & Oates 35th year as a recording duo. That's a milestone and I believe that's also a record (except for the Smothers Brothers and they don't count because they're brothers).
The sheer number of Hall & Oates albums available to music buyers is testament to their popularity and staying power. The dynamic duo are still touring and turning out new quality material that just seems to get better with age. They have matured nicely with their audience. But it ain't old foggy music by any means.
For my money "Starting All over Again: The Best of Hall and Oates" is the best Hall & Oates collection CD of the bunch so far. It's just too bad it's an import.

"This was the most comprehensive Hall & Oates collection available when I bought this. An absolute must have collection for any Hall & Oates fan but doesn't feel like buying all the albums. Contains all the big hits: Rich girl, Sara Smile, Kiss on My List, Maneater, Mano a Mano, and one of my favorites Family Man & Private Eyes. For any big late 80's-early 90's SNL fans G.E. Smith and Tom "T-Bone" Wolk were part of Hall & Oates backing band."
