Less electronic, funkier Hacienda will get more devotees.

"This third offering of the german combo is certainly an ensemble of vibes and influences that came as a surprise to me. This is not the sound of Sunday Afternoon or Narrowed Eyes, this is much more in the vein of Jazzanova if anything. Perhaps I would have rated this album better if I hadn't bought Drum and Bossa by Landslide. It's just that the Brazilian saudade gets overused and becomes boring after a while. Nonetheless 3rd door left has great moments and with 17 songs you really can't expect much more. There is only one Amon Tobin that can enthrall you for hours on end without repeating himself in the process. I guess this record will bring Hacienda closer to the mainstream sound and make them far more popular. Not quite sure whether that's good or bad."
