"Jackie King and Willie Nelson have been playing together for more than twenty years. You may recall an album Willie put out around 1982 called Angel Eyes. That record consisted mainly of ballads and one uptempo number; My Window Faces The South. Here they reprise that fine old western swing classic along with San Antonio Rose, an old Bob Wills chestnut that has become a signiture tune for Willie. The balance of the material consists of standards like Lover Come Back To Me, The Nearness Of You, Jealous Heart and the big-band swing instrumental Cherokee. The results are astonishing to say the least. Here's a record you'll find hard to stop listening to. Believe me I've tried and I keep comming back to it. The masterful interplay between Jackie's always tastefull, never overstated jazz licks and Willie's own fine finger-picking and honey sweet voice is an unbeatable combination. Gypsy is as close to what you might imagine Django Rhinehart sounding like in today's high-tech recording studio. If you're a fan of Willie's instrumental album Night And Day, released approximately a year and half ago, then you will absolutely flip over Gypsy. This is poitively and no-risk disc...Let me say that again. THIS ONE IS POSITVELY A NO-RISK-DISC!!!!"

"So you've never seen Jackie King perform live?.....Well I have...Twice at Westbury Music Fair along with one of the greatest jazz guitarist of all time...Yes the one and only Willie Nelson. That's right Willie can pick that old Martin guitar and Jackie is....Well Jackie is brilliant. His work with Willie throughout their years, has always been spectacular. Listen to Angel Eyes, (you might have to settle for vinyl) or catch the Rhino DVD The Willie Nelson Special. Jackie and Willie will just blow your mind. And Gypsy is...all the above and more. Yep, this recording kicks, It's the bomb it even beats the pants off an angry, red-faced Howard Dean. I'm not kidding.
Again I'll say, This Is Posotively A NO-RISK-Disc!!!!!!"
