"I have a decently sized collection of "nouveau flamenco" (Gypsy Kings, Ottmar Liebert, Shahin & Sepehr, Strunz & Farah, Armik, etc.), and I can say hands down that "Azucar" by Guido Luciani is the GEM of the lot! Why aren't there more albums by this VERY talented artist? The range of styles exhibited by Luciani on "Azucar" are just staggering in their variety, and yet each new style is presented with a tremendous combination of dexterity and sensitivity. It's weird to me that I found this album in one of those "compilation" displays in which most of the albums offered are predictable and mundane. "Azucar" stood out like a sore thumb in that collection!"
