"After hearing it, you'll wish you heard it sooner. I happened to score this in the bargain bin, and good golly was I surprised. Although it's probably best catagorized in the hard/death metal realm, there are some slower, more melodic songs. However, the whimpier songs aren't that great. A majority of the album is full of slow, crunchy riffs, a mix of deep death growls and variations of the sort, and a GREAT production. The first track will catch your attention enough to entice you throught the whole thing. Then, at track 6 ("Raw"), you'll be sold. THIS SONG WILL ABSOLUTELY GRIND YOUR BALLS!! One of my new favorite death songs, among the ranks of everything. It chugs along at a snails pace, crunching and slowly pounding away at your speakers. Then the vocals...yes!! Sounds like he's gargling hunks of meat in a satanic sacrifice. I found myself hitting the repeat button numerous times after first hearing it. This song alone is worth 4 stars and worth buying the album for. I'm going to go listen to it again."
