Not sure where they were going with this

"I have been a Groove Junkies fan for a while and more recently a big fan of the "late night" series. This CD should have been a peak for both the artists and the series. However, with a very slow begining (this CD doesnt even start to take off until track 5) and some remixes of previous work I found it to lack the standard that the Groove Junkies usually set. Moreover, after hearing Late Night with King Britt and Late Night With Andy Caldwell I was disappointed in the "Late Night" series as well. Maybe Britt and Caldwell just set the bar too high?
Allow me to add something positive to the mix here for a minute. For those who have never heard the Groove Junkies before, know that even on a bad day they put together a good polished product. This CD is almost a departure from what one comes to expect for Groove Junkies CD. The first 3 tracks sound like something out of the OM winter sessions. I understand the need to branch out and experiment, but maybe you just need to change your name to reflect your new sound (i.e. petalpusher/migs). If you want to hear some solid beats that rock a party/room with Groove Junkie authority I would purchase Afterdark: Los Angeles or the OM Summer Sessions first. Overall, I gave this a 3 because there are some good cuts that are worth listening to like "I believe in dreams" and "Sahara" and if you have never heard "music's gotcha jumpin" then you are in a for a treat."
