Raw, refreshing dirty sound

"This album has not yet been reviewed, and I believe it deserves one. This indie Memphis group mixes the Germs with Unwound's depressing sound with Polvo's lo-fi sound and experimentation. Very cool sound. If you don't like it at first, wait a while, it'll grow on you. My favorites from this album are "Bummer", "Teenage Jesus", "Wonder", "The Casual Years"."
Another Mind-Blowing Grifters Gem

"Here's the first truly killer grifters album
or cd. Bought this thing like five different
times. So damn good. From opening rocker
Bummer to She blows Blastic of Static to
spacey Sain/The Casual Years these guys are
allovertheroad in the best possible way.
Trippy songs, trippy lyrics featuring bass
by a guy named Trip Lamkins. Ridiculously
great band, live and on tape, sounds lo-fi
but One sock was the beginning of a bigger,
louder sound for the Grifters. Culminating
in the amazing Crappn' You Negative which
followed the next year i believe on the
mighty Mephis label Shangri-La, a label
GBv-man Tobin Sprout later wrote a song
about. Four & a half-stars for rare beauty
& serious four-on-the-floor four piece
Stones-y rockn'roll."
