"tenor sax player grant stewart has to be the greatest living interpretor-of the great american song book - of his generation -forsure! ---his playing is so warm so heartfelt so perfect itsometimes brings me close to tears!!!! you can hear his group w joe cohen and his brother phil on drums every tuesdaynight these daysat the greatest little jazz club in nyc--smalls on w 10th st----to hear this group play is to experience something very special--grants choice of tunes reflects his impeccable taste-- and his playing is sheer delight----you can get a taste of this on his cds--- but seeing him play live w his group is a revelation---if u can get there to see him--you will be so richly rewarded ! and he just keeps getting better all the time---- we are truly blessed to be able to share in this mans genius and bask in the glow of the greatest music ever created ! great songs great melodies driving blazing rhythm !if you think i`m indulging in hyperbole here w my compliments--- go see him !!! or get his cds to get a taste of the best and most consistently satisfying jazz around ! soul indeed !!!!! grant stewaRT HAS IT IN SPADES Y`ALL !!!"
