Stretched out and wild

"Echoing the previous reviewers assesment of Gordy Johnson...he never dissapoints...he does..however..get LOUDER...if thats possible. His previous band, BIG SUGAR was deafening. Maybe it;s just his guitar tone..but he sounds even louder here..and no, volume isn't everything. Grady's combination of down home gutbucket blues and massive volume with an almost Metal sensebility provides for a unique listening experience. Good stuff indeed. Highly recommended for blues enthusiasts and metal heads with open minds..and of course..old time Big Sugar fans."
Killer album...raunchy, soulful and amped up Blues Rock

"I've been following Gordie(Grady)Johnson since his Big Sugar days and he has yet to let me down with any of his musical offerings. His newest band, Grady, has amped it up for their second LP, A Cup of Cold Poison. All the tunes rock, lots of great chunky guitar riffs(to the point where one might classify the album as Blues Metal). Yet most impressive is the soulfulness and gospel-like feel of songs like "I know I can Make it" and "West Coast Hobo In A Boxcar Blues". I've listened to the CD at least 5 times and it has gotten better with each listen."
