"For over two years I have been eagerly waiting for Govi to produce a CD with his tantalizing/feel good traditional sound and "Touch of Light" doesn't disappoint. I rate this CD as his best effort since "Andalusian Nights". Eight of ten songs are very good to excellent. Govi combines and interweaves nuances some of his earlier melodies into new ones that make for a very wonderful listening experience. While Govi's critics may complain that the music of "Touch of Light" is a bit too safe and a touch lite (no pun intended), overall I like the CD just the way it is.



The recording quality is again excellent, however, for some reason this CD is not a HDCD recording which I believe produces a cleaner sound with greater detail. For that reason, and one cut that I find a bit dull, I give "Touch of Light" four stars instead of five. George M. -- Phoenix, AZ."

"Ive been fan of Govi for a very longtime, his albums one after another beautiful and inspiring and have brought a unforgettable spirit to flamenco guitar, listening to his music in most disappointing moments of my life then i could feel the music bringing me new journey of light to wonder and look again to journey of life, his music is warm and heartfelting that inspires you for journeies yet to come to meet and reach, govi returns with another masterpiece with his latest cd touch of light touched my soul and his melodies accompanied with sizzling quitar that takes you to the place where you belong and wish the most to be, govi have returned to his root, he has added some beautiful guitar works with touching percussion which will never your mind, his flamenco melodies dawns wihtin your soul and talks with you and takes you to journey that you never wish to leave, govi is one of the master spanish guitarist, his touch on turkish instrument and electric guitar is beautiful and vivid work of this legend of our time, listen to turkish delight, youll begin to want this album more than anything, and it will touch you, im so glad to have this wonderful musician, because as spanish guitarist i know how hard is to put piece together and sound great, youve been inspiration to me govi, not just in music, but in journey of life i can feel your music holding me thru, this album is must have for any govi fans, viva govi, check my other reviews you may like,touch of light touch my soul unto end of time...."

""Touch of Light" is another splendid offering from Govi. Having purchased a few of his CDs and enjoyed them tremendously, I purchased this one along with "Guitar Odyssey", "Saffron & Silk", "Cuchama", "Mosaico", and "Jewel Box". Being all instrumental, and since he has composed most, and performs on all of the selections, I initially thought perhaps having so many of the same artists CDs would be repetitious or become boring. This is certainly not the case. It is inspired creativity, and one could view the music as "joyfully meditative", soothing, flamenco overtones; many rhythms and tempos. Everyone I have shared Govi's music with has thoroughly enjoyed it, and I highly recommend this music. Mary M"
