One Of My All Time Favorites

"Every song is great. Every one a gem, if not a classic. It surprises you at every turn (Sweet Li'l & Trampled By The Sun). So confident is the song writing it's scary (When Wine Was Cheap and Dying Of The Pines just to name two). It's one of my all time favorite cds. I still think it's their darkest and moodiest collection of songs yet. And it doesn't end with one great song but three "Web Before You Walk Into It", "I Come Up" and "All The Labor". Happy/Sad music."
The first and possibly best Gourds effort

"If you haven't heard the Gourds, you've got to give them a listen. Just play this (or any Gourds album) 2 or 3 times, and it's all over. You're hooked for life. These guys are amazing. The best tracks on this début effort are Clear Night, Jenny Brown, All the Labor, Dying of the Pines, Ringing Dark & True, Trampled by the Sun.... I could go on. Get it."
