CD Reviews

The Exodus

(4 out of 5 stars)

"How can I be unbias reviewing this CD?
I can't so I won't be. If your a christian as I am and you enjoy rap (Snoop Dogg...etc) you'll be surprised at the production value as well as skills the gangstaz have been blessed with. something that caught me off guard was their ability to preach the word of Jesus and not really preach. make sense? didn't think so...heres what i'm talking about the whole album is full of life experiences and what their worlds where without Christ and then what happened to their life with JC. it's very refreshing to see a group not affraid to be real (christian or not). the gangstaz do just this on the exodus. my advice and this is only advice..buy the CD..."
To GOD be the Glory!

"Man, I rate this CD with 10 stars because it is that good. Exodus really has saved a lot of sinners and still is. If everyone heard this CD, God's Word would be fulfilled. I gospel rap too and this has helped me to manifest my annointing in a very big way! I really suggest that you should buy this CD. They don't just rap, but they apply the Word to their ministry. I got saved a long time ago, but this CD has renewed my mind, fully. Actually, while I'm writing this, I am listening to their CD. I have been, and I'm still blessed by this CD. I know some rappers that are lukewarm in their rap ministry. They would do secular, then gospel, but Gospel Gangstaz really are hot for the Lord! They are truly annointed!!! GOD Bless!!!!"
Definately Good To See the Gangstaz Back

"Being Down Under, it took me a while to get this album, though i had heard tight samples over the web. I've really gotten into this one. Their previous album was tight when it came production, but seriously lacked ministry content. It's good to see the Gangstaz return to their original style. Tracks such as "Watch, Pray and Live Holy", "Heaven awaits us" and " Trouble Don't last" are excellent and have a clear and focused message. This album is also much less aggressive and much smoother, with excellent vocal stylings smoothing it out. Collaborations with the likes of Bootsy Collins and CityMac give it much more variety than their previous one-sided effort, and compares with their first two albums. They still have their banging "gangsta boogy" tracks such as Gangsta'd Up and Gangstaz Don't Dance. What would prevent me from giving this project 5 Stars are the few bad moments on it. Bad Company and Scream aren't quite pulled off the way they ought, and the interludes, though funny, don't sound as well produced as those on their previous albums.
Still, definately worth the buy."
