CD ReviewsHistorically important, too! dm | NH | 03/05/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "now, i could go on and on about how the rats are the worlds greatest bar band. how theyve opened for aerosmith, stevie wonder, the rolling stones, kiss, anyone who was REALLY big and came anywhere near new england, they played with them. but this album is a special one. it is THE FIRST RECORDING IN HISTORY to use the aphex aural exciter system. which is now a staple in recording studios worldwide. theyve even made guitar and bass stompboxes out of em (and i have one). cherry river is my favorite on this album. the power in the notes peppi hits is amazing. the cat's guitar work was never better, lenny was flexed his jazz-style rock chops, mickey was dead on in those harmonies on both guitar and vocals. it doesnt get much better." RAT-ON!!!! J. Finkler | Hughesville, PA United States | 09/17/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Want more on The Good Rats? www.goodrats.com
All cd's available. I saw the original lineup open for Rick Derringer in 1979, at Susquehanna U. in Selinsgrove, PA--they blew him away. Saw them again at RatStock 1, in 1999. Peppi, son Geno on lead guitar, and son Stephan on drums. Peppi still has one of the greatest voices in rock and roll. Uncle Rat says "Always blame it on the dead guy."" |
