"Richard Robbins was born in Rockland, Massachusetts ~ began studying music at the age of five ~ graduated from the New England Conservatory & extended his studies in Vienna, Austria. This score "The Golden Bowl", is the seventeenth scored in collaboration with Merchant/Ivory Productions ~ including the first two Henry James adaptations and the very successful "Howard's End" and "The Remains Of The Day".For this score, Robbins manages to fuse the emotional elements of the film into one very engrossing listening experience ~ captures the sentiments of each character in his music ~ effectively conveys the moods and power exchanged and displayed in every scene.Would like to thank ~ Richard Robbins (composer) ~ Geoffrey Alexander (arranger) ~ Harry Rabonowitz (conductor) ~ Simon Chamberlaine (piano solo) ~ Phill Todd (saxophone solo) ~ Phillip de Groote (cello solo) ~ Emmanuel Chamboredon (executive producer) ~ Milan Entertainment in coming up with all the ingredients that reflects the beautiful, flowing and extremely telling score from the creative-mind of Richard Robbins!Total Time: 56:17 on 19 Tracks...Milan Entertainment 73138 35922 2...(2001)"
