Not perfect, but one of my son's favorites

"As a music-lover, I would acknowledge that the quality of the music on this CD is by no means top-notch. However, it is one of my 15-month-old's favorite CDs. The songs are performed by kids, which only adds to my son's enjoyment. The slower, quieter, mellower tone of the CD is perfect for background music while he plays, but still lively enough to dance to when the mood strikes. The CD is full of fun songs that even I enjoy singing along with, including some great favorites that I have not been able to find on other toddler or preschool CDs. I also appreciate that they actually sing several verses of the songs. Many of my son's CDs have only a handful of verses to songs like "Old MacDonald," "The Wheels on the Bus" and "This Old Man." This CD actually sings the complete song.



Again, the musical quality is not perfect, but my son and I both enjoy listening to this CD on a regular basis."

"We have several children's cd's and this one has to be by far one of the worst I've heard yet. The songs are slow, very monotone and are not sung very well.



It's destined to collect dust on the shelf !"

Excellent Choice for Toddlers

"My 2 1/2-year-old daughter loves this CD. Yes, to an adult the songs may sound slow and monotone and the musical quality is average. However, to a toddler who is learning to sing along, this CD is perfect.



I was frustrated listening to other CD's that labeled themselves as "Toddler Favorites" -- they sang the songs too quickly for my daughter to keep up, and focused too much on showing off the vocal ranges of the artists (at this point, my daughter can sing three or four distinct musical notes, if she's lucky). I also like that the songs on this CD are the full-length versions -- I knew there had to be more than three verses to "Wheels On The Bus", but could never find a CD that sang all of them.



I enjoy singing and dancing along with my daughter as we listen to this CD at home, and she has even asked me to load it onto my "pie-Pod" so she can hear the songs in the car, too.



Since this CD is supposed to be for toddlers, I have to base my rating on the level of enjoyment it offers my daughter. Therefore, I give it 5 stars."
