The Holy Grail of French death metal is availale once more

"Let me start off with a warning. Gojira is too heavy for you. No, seriously. You cannot handle this band. They have the raw power of Meshuggah, the erie discordinance of Morbid Angel, the inventiveness of Death, and the introspection of Tool. That is only what lies on the surface. This band out of nowhere is the heaviest band on the planet right now. I hae seen them four times in the past year alone and each time I have been blown away. The musicianship is second to absolutely none. This is on display on Gojira's once uber-hard-to-find debut cd Terra Incognita. The speed and technical prowess of this release is soon to be legendary. This is a disc of death metal in its most raw and pure form. Don't look for your gore and devil worshipping here, however. Joe Duplatnier would rather spend his breath on saving his beloved whales or finding a way to convey the beauty he sees in everyday life. This is a truly original and refreshing metal band. I would recommend you seek out all four studio albums, their live DVD, and go see them live. It will change your life and really open your eyes to what is possible is a sometimes self-restricive genre as death metal. Five stars, as always."
One of my favorite bands.

"this album is only the beginning for these metal beasts. Great start and they only get better, especially on The Way of the Flesh. Brilliant stuff."
